Collection: Donut & Round Dog Beds

A donut or round dog bed suits dogs that sleep curled up in a ball. The raised rim wraps around your dog and gives it something to rest its head on. Our round beds come in sizes from 40 cm to 90 cm across, in fluffy faux fur and plush, with prices from £18.

Choosing Donut & Round Dog Beds

Who a donut bed suits

Dogs that turn in circles before lying down and sleep curled nose to tail are natural donut bed sleepers. The soft raised rim surrounds them and holds in warmth. Small and medium dogs such as Cockapoos, Shih Tzus and Jack Russells often take to round beds, and many cats like them too.

How to choose the size

Measure your dog curled up in its usual sleeping position and use that as the diameter. Then choose a bed at least that wide, or one size up if your dog sometimes stretches out. As a rough guide, 40 to 50 cm suits toy breeds, 60 to 70 cm suits small to medium dogs and 80 to 90 cm suits larger dogs that curl up. Always check the size chart on the product page.

Fluffy, plush or with a backrest

Our round ribbed plush bed comes in 13 colours and six sizes from 40 to 90 cm. The donut bed with a high backrest gives a taller back to lean against, and the puppy face bed with ears is a fun choice for small dogs and puppies.

Washing a round bed

Shake or vacuum loose hair off the bed regularly. Check the care section on each product page before washing, and let the bed dry fully so the filling does not stay damp. If your dog likes to stretch out flat rather than curl up, a sofa or bolster bed or a dog mat may suit it better.

Frequently asked questions

What is a donut dog bed?

A donut dog bed is a round bed with a soft raised rim all the way round. Dogs curl up in the middle and rest their head on the rim. It suits dogs that sleep curled up and dogs that like the feeling of something around them.

What size donut bed do I need?

Measure your dog curled up and use that as the diameter, then choose a bed at least that wide. If your dog sometimes stretches out, go one size up. As a rough guide, 40 to 50 cm suits toy breeds, 60 to 70 cm suits small to medium dogs and 80 to 90 cm suits larger dogs that curl up.

Are donut beds good for large dogs?

Donut beds suit large dogs that sleep curled up. Large dogs that sprawl on their side usually need more flat space, so a long sofa bed or a mat may suit them better. Our round ribbed plush bed comes in sizes up to 90 cm.

Can I wash a fluffy dog bed?

Many fluffy beds can be washed, but care instructions differ. Check the care section on each product page before washing, shake or vacuum off loose hair first, and let the bed dry fully before your dog uses it.

Do cats like donut beds?

Many cats love round beds with a raised rim because they also sleep curled up. Our smaller sizes, from 40 cm, suit cats and toy breeds.
