Collection: Walking & Training Accessories

Walking and training accessories make everyday walks and training easier: a clicker and whistle for recall and reward training, a treat pouch to keep rewards to hand, a soft mesh muzzle, car seat belt leads and a carrier sling for small dogs. Prices start from £8.

Choosing Walking & Training Accessories

The basics for training a dog are a clicker or whistle to mark good behaviour and a treat pouch to reward it straight away. For travel, a car seat belt lead keeps your dog secure, and a sling carrier helps with small dogs and puppies. A soft mesh muzzle helps at the vet or on busy walks while your dog can still pant.

Training tools

A clicker marks the exact moment your dog does something right, followed by a treat. A whistle carries further than your voice, which helps with recall in parks and fields. Our 2 in 1 clicker and whistle sits on a wrist coil, so it is always to hand.

Treat pouches

A treat pouch keeps rewards ready during walks and training, so you can reward quickly. Our pouch clips to a belt and has a zip pocket for keys and poo bags.

Muzzles

A soft mesh muzzle can help at the vet or groomer, or for dogs that pick things up on walks. Measure the length and circumference of your dog's snout and check the size chart. Introduce it slowly with treats, and never leave a muzzled dog unattended.

Car and carrying

Seat belt leads clip into the seat belt buckle and attach to your dog's harness; they are not crash tested, so always use them with a harness. For more, see Dog Car & Travel. Our carrier sling suits small dogs on busy streets or public transport. For harnesses and leads, see Harnesses, Collars & Leads.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use a dog training clicker?

Click at the exact moment your dog does the behaviour you want, then give a treat straight away. Start by clicking and treating a few times so your dog learns the sound means a reward, then use it to mark sits, recalls and other behaviours.

Does a dog whistle help with recall?

A whistle gives a clear, consistent sound that carries further than your voice. Teach it at home first by blowing the whistle and rewarding your dog when it comes to you, then practise in quieter outdoor places.

What size muzzle does my dog need?

Measure the length of the snout from the tip of the nose to just below the eyes, and the circumference of the snout. Check these against the size chart on the product page. Your dog should be able to open its mouth slightly and pant.

Is a dog seat belt safe?

A seat belt lead helps keep your dog in one place in the car. Ours are not crash tested. Always clip it to a well fitted harness, not a collar.

What is a dog treat pouch?

A treat pouch is a small bag that clips to your belt or waistband so treats are to hand during walks and training. It saves fumbling in pockets and helps you reward your dog quickly.
