Slip your hand into the mesh pocket on the back, using the yellow tab to pull it on. Wipe in short sideways strokes rather than up and down, then watch the hair bunch up along the edge, ready to pick off and bin.

Where to use it. Sofas and armchairs, cushions, dog beds and blankets, clothes, coats and car seats. Anywhere fabric and fur meet, this pet hair remover glove gets to work.

Light strokes work best. Pressing hard does not help and wears the fabric, so keep your strokes quick and gentle.

A quick word of honesty. It works on dry fabric. On wet or greasy surfaces the electrostatic effect drops off, so use it before the muddy towel, not after. A new glove may shed a few loose fibres from the cut edges, so pat it with your hand or wipe it with a damp cloth before first use.

Easy to clean. When it gets grubby, rinse it under the tap and let it air dry.
